TULSA, OKLA – Diversified global industrial leader Harsco Corporation announced today it has acquired Hammco Corporation., an Owasso-based provider of coolers for the natural gas and petrochemical processing industries, to be managed by Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers (AXC), based in the Tulsa Port of Catoosa. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Hammco will join the Harsco Industrial division as Harsco Industrial Hammco, LLC, providing products complementing those of AXC, which produces air-cooled heat exchangers used in natural gas compression and other industries.
While current plans are for the two Tulsa-area companies to continue to operate separately, each supporting its product lines with its own engineering and sales organization, both companies will report directly to AXC Vice President and General Manager Eric Clower.
In announcing the acquisition, Clower said, "For more than four decades, Hammco has demonstrated a commitment to quality, service and value that perfectly matches the core values on which Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers has built its business. Hammco's track record, product lines, expertise, experience and culture made it an ideal fit for AXC, and will allow us to offer an even greater range of cooling solutions to current and future customers. In this, our 60th year of service to the natural gas industry, we warmly welcome our Hammco colleagues to the Harsco family and look forward to their contributions to our continuing growth."
